In my brief 3 month stint in Mahindra First Choice, I lead the ideation to come up with a brand new "Dealership Management System" for existing used cars dealers.
Mahindra’s existing used car dealers were not able to manage their end to end to end operations efficiently with the current solutions they had
Existing Outlet Management System does not include the details regarding the car once it is listed.
Important details pertaining to the cars procurement and sales is not available in it
Non availability of indicative price lists for sales personnel’s ready reference
Car’s history, refurb history, upkeep diary not available
On the other hand the Leads mobile app was insufficient. It did not capture all the information regarding the lead and their choices once the experience is taken up offline in the stores

Leads current car details not available
Leads profile does not include interested cars/general budget /usecase for a car
More importantly, dealers have to deal with data in multiple systems like OMS, Lead app, internal excel sheets and whatsapp. This leads to

Lastly, Mahindra as a business does not have the insights into the day to day operations and business reality as the system does not have accurate and latest information.
Build a ground up new “Mahindra DMS”, that can reliably capture all information pertaining to the dealership. This DMS must be able to
Capture all activities and data pertaining the car/inventory
Capture all activities and data pertaining to the lead/buyer of the said inventory
Capture all the activities of the sales execs/team within the dealership
Be able to slice and data all this data in the form of relevant reports. These reports could be
Business reports - Car statuses, Sales reporting, Refurb reporting etc etc
Exec Reports - Conversion reporting, Follow up reporting
Lead reports - Conversion reports, Lost reporting etc etc
